Superpowers

Hi guys!

Last Friday, my cousin and I planned to take some outfit pics. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We went outside, found the perfect spot aaand it turned dark. The rain came out of nowhere. Feeling bummed out, we just took some shots in my living room. Better luck next time.

I feel bad about already neglecting the blog, since I just joined the blogging hype. In a few weeks I'll hopefully finish my thesis and I'll be able to update more frequently. If superpowers were real I would freeze time, because I really need it! Sadly, I don't have any special abilities and clock is ticking. I have to kick some serious butt!

Ever since I spotted the graphic black and white beauties at Cindy's (COTTDS) feet, I've developed a slight obsession for slip ons. I remember wearing slip on shoes when I was little, they are so comfortable! And because I stand on my feet all day at work, comfort is what I need. 

Slip ons look great paired with leather trousers, a boyfriend denim, shorts and just about anything... Here's a selection of printed slip ons I found online.

adidas Originals x Farm SS14

While shopping with my boyfriend a few days ago, I came across the new adidas Originals x Farm collection. It's a collaboration of adidas Originals and Brazilian fashion label the Farm company. The result is a feminine, colorful collection in four different prints. The bright colors and tropical prints are right up my alley! Especially the blue track jackets with pineapple shaped flowers and the one with kaleidoscope effect are my faves.

Sports wear, or just sports, never really were my thing. Back in PE class, I was the kid who would catch the ball with her face or get picked last. Ah, the memories ;)  Now that the scars have faded (just kidding, I wasn't THAT big of a disaster) and this awesome collab popped up on my radar, I think I fell in love!

Runway Moment

Yesterday I showed our outfits for the beauty blogger's party. Guess what, my friend Maureen and I both got nominated for the Best Dressed award! Here I am, feeling nervous, having my awkward moment on the runway. Unfortunately we didn't win, but it was still awesome to be nominated.

French stripes

Excuse the cell phone pics. Here's what I wore to the beauty blogger's event. I went with my friend Maureen and we coincidentally matched our outfits. Doesn't she look cute with the baret? It's like she came right from Paris! 

The party was so much fun! We had our nails done, our eyebrows waxed and a touch up of our make up. We went home with bags full of goodies and hearts filled with excitement. Why, you ask? I will show you tomorrow ;)

VE Day

Today is VE Day, a special holiday in the Netherlands to celebrate our freedom. I visited one of the music festivals with my cousin. These are the first outfit shots I ever did, taken just outside of the festival. I've been taking pictures for my cousin's blog for a while now. She's such a natural and makes it look so easy! Now I was in front of the camera instead of behind it, so I had to get used to posing for the pics. I still think they turned out ok, yes?

The weather was great, I wore something comfortable and airy to walk (and dance) around the festival areas. We saw awesome Dutch artists and had tasty smoothies.
